Ingredients
1 cup sour cream
1 ½ cups sugar
2 eggs
½ cup butter
3 to 4 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp baking soda
¾ tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
½ cup walnuts
2 cups flour
Frosting:
½ cup butter
3 tbsp milk
1 ½ tsp vanilla
4 cups confectioner’s sugar
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375*
Grease and flour a jelly roll pan, 10×15
In a large bowl, combine the sugar, butter, sour cream and eggs. Beat until smooth
Blend in the vanilla and the mashed bananas. Mix well
Add in the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix well for 1 minute
Toss in the walnuts and mix well
Spread the batter into the jelly roll pan
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until they are a light golden brown
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool
For the frosting, heat the butter in a large pan until it is boiling
When the butter starts to turn a light brown remove it from the heat immediately
Add in the confectioner’s sugar and vanilla
Mix together using a whisk. This will not be as thick as frosting, but it will be thicker than a glaze.
Spread the frosting over the banana brownies while they are still warm
